SweetSpot: Now and Then Promotion Continues

Panic and passion mix with pain and paint the portrait of SweetSpot: Now and Then, my novel debuting soon. #womenfiction #commercialfiction

For a long time, I’ve snapped short video snippets from my favorite series, films, documentaries, interviews, et al, that when I watch, a scene instantly reminds me of some aspect, theme, call it what you will,  of SweetSpot: Now and Then.

My instincts have always told me we cannot hope to resonate with readers if our stories don’t reflect some portion of our shared humanity. Some members of the writing community call this universality. As a way to ‘gin up’ interest, I decided to video some familiar scenes and add them to the promotion of this story that is not only my protagonist’s to tell.

We meet Darlene Robinson at a crossroads; no longer is she willing to live in an unhappy marriage. So many stories demonstrate the shear pain this decision brings. The exchange between Downton Abbey Lord Grantham and his cousin resonates for many. This writer crafted some characters that also reflect these painful emotions.
