T. Jefferson Parker Talks Writing at S.C.W.C. Revising in 2017 and one week after the ALWAYS fabulous Southern California Writers Conference was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel, our San Diego muse center that’s always been good to the conference.  T. Jefferson Parker’s insistence in persistence is the message I’m sending to a few S.C.W.C. authors…you know who you are…:)  My hope for all writers who view craft as more than an affectation to study it and with each prose they produce improve upon as as the masters in our craft has always done. It’s our tradition, to rarely be satisfied with draft storytelling.
T. Jefferson Parker Talks Writing at S.C.W.C. 2012

Feeling down, writers? T. Jefferson Parker and his take on persistence is what every struggling writer needs to hear. T Jefferson Parker spoke at the 2012 Southern California Writers Conference,  his keynote address  loaded with nuggets of inspiration. About rejection. How about getting four solid rejections (by big publishers) of his first novel, Laguna Heat. Needless to say, those same publishers competed to get his next novel…and his next….and you get the idea.

Ah, persistence. If you’ve got the writing chops writers, it will pay off.
